Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CadetOps ("the Service"), operated by JKA Logic LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a department or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

CadetOps is a free, multi-department cadet management platform designed to support law enforcement cadet programs and similar organizations. Features may include QR-based event attendance tracking, inventory management, cadet roster management, and file storage.

We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at any time.

3. User Accounts

Accounts are created and managed by authorized department administrators.

• Users may not create accounts independently without authorization.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must immediately notify your department administrator of any unauthorized access.

We are not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from failure to secure credentials.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems, accounts, or data.
• Upload or distribute malware, viruses, or harmful content.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Share login credentials or allow unauthorized users access.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action for violations.

5. Data Ownership and Responsibility

All data entered into the Service by a department, including cadet information, attendance records, inventory data, and uploaded files, remains the property of that department.

JKA Logic LLC:

• Does not claim ownership of user data.
• Does not verify the accuracy of data entered.
• Is not responsible for how departments collect, use, or manage personal information.

Departments are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable privacy laws and regulations, including those related to minors.

6. Data Storage and Security

We implement reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect data. However:

• We do not guarantee absolute security.
• Transmission of data over the internet is at your own risk.
• You acknowledge that no system is completely secure.

7. Service Availability

The Service is provided free of charge.

We do not guarantee:

• Continuous availability.
• Error-free operation.
• Data preservation in all circumstances.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JKA Logic LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data.
• Loss of access.
• Operational disruptions.
• Unauthorized access.

Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

9. Account Termination

Department administrators may manage or remove user accounts at their discretion.

JKA Logic LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user or department that violates these Terms.

Upon termination:

• Access will be revoked.
• Data may be deleted after a reasonable retention period.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law principles.
